Large modern hotel that was a good base for a short business trip

A big, modern hotel complex - not immediately next to anything but linked by a covered footbridge to Yongsan railway station and shopping mall (5 mins walk). Room well appointed, clean and warm. Wifi fast and could stream from phone to TV. Breakfast good but crowded. Well appointed convenience store had a large selection of snacks and drinks.

The metro station is 10 minute walking distance.

It was close to a mall and YongSan metro station, staff was courteous and nice.

Not ideal for families because rooms are small. The inside of lobby is nice and looks like a 4 star hotel but the rooms are similar to a 3 1/2 star hotel.

The care and support from most staff ( Housekeeping Services & concierge service, excellent room service )

The front desk so confused & unprofessional, and at some point biased, disappointed this time last year front desk staff was mature and understanding ( I had surgery so I extended my stay and changed my room then and needed to stay in my 2nd room for one more night they asked me to move to a different room for the night, of course I left even though I needed the rest given my condition that I previously explained. Will that’s that am really disappointed..

Modern, comfortable, good value for money and convenient but cleaning service could be improved.

Excellent location, easy walk via the sky bridge to Yongsan station. Building complex is very large and has good amenities. On site convenience store was handy. Comfortable beds.

Room cleaning wasn’t as good as expected, bins were not emptied one day and cups and mugs not cleaned. New water bottles were provided only 2 of the 6 days. Would have expected more from a 5 star hotel.

Comfortable, clean and elegent

located close to Yongsan Station, 5 mins walk there - very accessible The beds were comfortable and the cleaning staff were diligent and made sure to offer us water even when we didn't want our rooms cleaned the gym was really good, better than most in Korea Close to Big shopping mall which was really accessible and easy Staff were helpful and friendly to storing our bags

getting a taxi / uber there is hard, they dont like to take you short distances to Myeongdong If you want to take a train to Myeongdong, you have to go through to SinYongSan station which was 10+ mins walk away

The elevators were really slow for the size of the building and one was blocked off for one floor. That elevator kept opening due to it not being called to a floor.

Great hotel, views exceptional, great staff, very comfy bed.

Lovely new international hotel, just as I hoped and expected. Staff very helpful with good English skills. Great views!

nothing at all wrong with hotel itself, but there was not much appealing about the immediate surrounds which seem to be undergoing redevelopment.

Superclose to Yongsan shopping centre. The hotel was fresh, lush and clean.

High end budget hotel

Novotel Yongsan is on the higher end of budget hotels. If you are arriving there by train, exit the metro card reader turn pike to get to the main area of the train station. Once you are inside the main area of the train station, take exit 3 to leave the building. Once outside, you will follow a bridge that connects to the hotel. Follow the signs that say Seoul Dragon City. The lobby is in the first floor. Besides being connected to Yongsan station that has a mall, the hotel itself has nice features. There are restaurants, a self-serve laundry mat, and convenient CU inside the hotel. I would like to also thank Mr. Sam and his amazing concierge team! They helped me out a lot this stay. They went above and beyond. Wonderful customer service from them! The hotel also has an area for the pick-up of your take out food. Note for travelers, if you order take out, don't let the take out driver wait for you for a long time in this area. It is disrespectful.

Although modern, maintenance of the hotel and cleanliness can definitely be improved. It may be because it is summer, peak season, but the staff looks overwhelmed or understaffed. Still, they provided great service. This means, don't expect early check-ins. The room itself is very small and compact, but what do you expect with a budget hotel. The room still has all the expected amenities (shampoo, soap, water bottles, etc.) Although there are many great features of the hotel, the biggest negative is the cleanliness of the room. It is acceptable, but more dusting or vacuuming is needed in parts of the hotel room. Definitely they need more improvement and attention to detail in this area.
